Presence as Distortion

The Divines are primordial governing forces embedded within Creation itself, shaping reality not as rulers or saviors but as living principles that bend gravity, fracture light, and impose consequence upon the world.

The Divines are not seen so much as endured; their nearness distorts sound into fractured resonance, thickens the air until breath feels resisted, and compresses time into something unstable and uneven. Mortals do not behold faces or expressions; they register pressure first in the environment, then in their own bodies as perception falters and reality subtly rearranges itself around the intrusion.

Some Visions
Are Rehearsals

Architects of the Divine War

The architects and combatants of the Divine Conflict and the former overseers of humanity, Divines are active beings whose presence defines the fate of Earth and humanity in Duel of the Chosen. Their war, now brought to earth via The Falling, impacts every mortal life and every corner of creation.

Some embody order, others chaos, and many exist in the vast spectrum between — but each is bound by the Divine Rules of War, where mortals now fight in their stead.

Competing Visions for Judgment

Each Pillar advances a different outcome for the Hour of Judgment, shaped by its governing principle and unwilling to concede to compromise. Some press for preservation, others for fracture or finality, yet all maneuver through mortal vessels to secure a future aligned with their own interpretation of what Creation must become.

Bonds with the Chosen

As the Hour of Judgment approached, the Divines bound themselves to mortal vessels in unions that are functional rather than ceremonial. The Chosen do not ascend; they channel power into the physical world, and consequence follows the same path.

The Divine Pillars

The Divine is organized through Seven Pillars — the foundational principles through which Creation is structured and maintained. Each Pillar is both a domain, the thing it governs, and a Realm, the dimension in which its essence dwells. Time inside a Pillar runs differently from time on Creation. A mortal can age a decade inside what feels like weeks of mortal life. Some Divines have spent the equivalent of a millennium inside theirs.

At the convergence of all seven stands the Sevenfold Axis — an immense ring of radiant stone suspended in the airless dark, where each Gate burns in its own tone and color. The First Gate, sealed since before the war, burns silently.

Long in Motion

The Hour of Judgment is not a single moment but a convergence long in motion, when competing Pillars and hidden agendas collapse into open conflict. It is the threshold where accumulated consequence demands resolution, and where what survives will do so under altered law.
